Global Head of Marketing Excellence - B2B

Tesa is one of the world's leading manufacturers of technical adhesive tapes and adhesive system solutions. Not only in homes and offices, but also in smartphones, displays, cars, airplanes or roof-mounted photovoltaic systems. One of their 7000 products is probably sticking somewhere around you, often unnoticed, in a wide range of daily applications. Tesa is represented in 42 countries with around 5000 employees, have 14 plants, production facilities and large technology centers in Europe, Asia and North America. The goal is to achieve sustainable international growth in the coming years.

As a result of their declared commitment to drastically strengthen their innovative power, and proximity to customers in industry, the direct market division (B2B - +/- 1 billion€ business) is setting up a new Global marketing team based in Norderstedt near Hamburg (around 20 people focused on different area of global marketing: marketing excellence, marketing communication, digital marketing, customer journey, sales & Mktg process)

The Head of Marketing Excellence is a new role within the Global Integrated Marketing organization designed to strengthen the organisation capabilities to drive excellence in all aspects of marketing:  marketing mix, communication strategy, product launch, marketing research, performance tracking and impact analytics.  

Core Tasks

  • Drive the creation of the next generation marketing model along with analytics and performance metrics of marketing content.

  • Harmonize Marketing KPIs and Dashboard follow up around the regions

  • Develop Global B2B Marketing methodologies: e.g. Product launches, Market research…

  • Partner with internal stakeholders for best-in-class marketing execution

  • Help global and Regions develop a Marketing Strategy and plan in a professional & common format

  • Drive best practice sharing across the EPD marketing organization

  • Ensure Marketing skills are present at all level of the organisation (Skills assessment, Training development…)

Required Experience

  • Deep knowledge of Marketing and related processes with a proven track record in marketing organizations

  • Experience in influencing and guiding stakeholders

  • International and cross-functional project work

  • Experience in designing processes and implementing them

  • 10-12 years of experience in B2B Marketing / Consulting

  • Senior Manager position

  • Master Degree from leading universities

Required Skills

Strong analytical skills, pragmatic with a bias for implementation, can take the customer point of view, not afraid to challenge the status quo and resilient to push the change, strong influencing skills, interested in helping people develop themselves, identify and assess training needs, seeks collaboration naturally, open and Energetic, engaging way of working.
